Three Area Veterinarians Join VHA Board of Directors

SOUTH SAINT PAUL, MN – (April 4, 2018) – Veterinary Hospitals Association (VHA), the leading association for veterinary practices in the Midwest, has announced the election of three local veterinarians to join the VHA Board of Directors.

Andrea Johnston, DVM, owner of Gehrman Animal Hospital in Minnetonka, MN; Mike Sasse, DVM, owner of Willow Pet Hospital in Austin, MN; and Amy Haarstad, DVM, owner of Haarstad Veterinary Dermatology in Maple Grove, MN, were elected to three-year terms during the VHA Annual Meeting on March 15, 2018. They began their board member duties on April 1, 2018.

“We are thrilled to have Drs. Johnson, Sasse, and Haarstad join the VHA Board of Directors,” said VHA Executive Director Jeff Benson. “As an association, it’s important our leadership is reflective of our membership. This ensures that we continue to be member-driven towards our goals of providing our members superior products and services they need to be successful.”

Drs. Johnston, Sasse, and Haarstad join VHA Board of Directors President Dr. Cynthia Fetzer, Vice-President Dr. Carissa Williamson, Treasurer Dr. Steven Olson, Secretary Dr. Anna Ruelle, and Directors Dr. Abby Coodin and Dr. Jami Stromberg.
