Please join us for a discussion of critical care nutrition and assisted feeding. In this session we will discuss why nutrition is important in our hospitalized patients, and the link between nutrition and patient outcomes. Participants will learn which patients are candidates for assisted feeding, and will review special considerations for feeding tube selection and creation of a feeding plan.

Anne Ward, DVM
Dr. Anne Ward is a Scientific Services Veterinarian for Royal Canin US. Anne joined Royal Canin in 2017, and serves as a scientific liaison between the veterinary community and Royal Canin throughout the Pacific Northwest. Anne graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008, and following internship training, focused her career first in general practice and later, in emergency practice. She is passionate about using evidence-based nutritional strategies to improve the lives of pets, and enjoys being a resource for nutrition information in the veterinary community. Anne shares her home with her husband and sons, as well her two cats, Rambo and Jojo, dogs, Tewks and Charlie, and her off-track thoroughbred Chopper, who she is retraining for 3-day eventing.
