Veterinary Day at the Capitol

Please join members of the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association for the annual Veterinary Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. Veterinarians and veterinary technicians are strongly encouraged to participate! We will be returning to the Capitol in person for this event.

Veterinary Day at the Capitol presents an opportunity to speak directly with your state legislators about what you do and the issues you face as a veterinary professional in Minnesota. With the Capitol complex fully re-opening to the public, it is imperative we meet face-to-face with legislators to help them understand our legislative priorities.   

The timeline of events for Veterinary Day at the Capitol will be similar to past years. We will kick off with a legislative briefing, a guest speaker, and then we will break for individual meetings with legislators. 

Please register by close of business on February 21st to ensure we have adequate time to secure meetings for you. 11:45: AM – 12:30 PM (Meet in State Office Building Room 300 North)

•           Lunch, legislative overview and guest speakers   

12:45 PM – 04:00 PM    

•           Meetings with legislators

Once you register, the team at Lockridge Grindal Nauen will work to schedule appointments with your state representative and your state senator based on your home address. As March 8th gets closer, we'll provide you with more details about the agenda for that day.
