Part- or Full-Time Certified Veterinary Technician (St. Louis Park)

caravan vetCaravan Vet is growing and seeking to add a certified veterinary technician to our amazing team! We are the Twin Cities’ only full-service veterinary house call practice. We not only provide exams for cats and dogs in the comfort of our patients’ homes, but can also perform x-rays, dental prophylaxes, and surgeries in our state-of-the-art mobile veterinary clinic. Patient comfort and client satisfaction are our highest priorities.

CVT responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with physical exams of cats and dogs
  • Client communication via phone, text, email, and in-person
  • Medical records management in Impromed software
  • Drawing blood and preparing samples to send to the lab
  • Anesthesia monitoring
  • Dental prophylaxis
  • Digital dental and full body radiography
  • All within our fully equipped mobile truck or in our clients’ homes!

    This position will work 20-40 hours per week. A 4-day workweek is available for full-time employees.

  • Requirements:

    Education:

    • Two Year Degree/Associate's Degree

    Experience:

    • Must possess valid Minnesota Veterinary Technician certification
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a motor vehicle background check
    • 2+ years of work experience as a veterinary technician preferred
    • Able to perform basic medical math (e.g. calculate drug dosages)
    • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office Suite and open to learning new technologies
    • Must love working with cats and be able to safely restrain fractious dogs and cats
    • Must be able to work one evening per week and be open to Saturday hours in the future
