ere are also plenty of observances to notify followers of, calls to action to get those clients booking appointments, and fun ways to engage with followers!

National Pet Cancer Awareness Month
Cancer. Just the word alone can cause a sense of dread and unease. Cancer is scary, but we all realize that clients who do not know or choose to ignore the signs and symptoms have a way less chance at a good outcome. Remind them that establishing regular wellness exams will help you as the veterinarian pick up on any changes, no matter how small!
Suggested Post: Our beloved pets are not immune when it comes to cancer. Pets get cancer at about the same rate as humans, and like cancer in people, the cause of cancers in pets is not fully known. Older pets are more likely to develop cancer, and regular veterinary exams can help with early detection. November is Pet Cancer Awareness month and a great reminder that establishing regular wellness exams with us will help us pick up on any abnormalities should they arise.
National Pet Diabetes Month
Like National Pet Cancer Awareness Month, National Pet Diabetes Month is a great way to remind clients that early detection will make the disease much more manageable.
Suggested Post: Diabetes is an ailment that affects pets in the same way it affects people. Pets with diabetes can and do live happy and healthy lives with proper care and treatment. Early detection of diabetes will not only bring more comfort to you and your pet but will also be much more manageable. We are here to help!
November 1-7: National Animal Shelter and Rescue Appreciation Week
It is time to thank those shelters and rescues for all that they do! If you have a special connection with a rescue or shelter, be sure to feature some of their adoptable pets and mention any specials you run for newly adopted or rescued pets!

November 7: National Canine Lymphoma Awareness Day
Explain Canine Lymphoma in a way your followers will best understand. Because of the high success rate in treating canine lymphoma, if you have patients battling or beat it, reach out to their owners to see if you can share their story!
Suggested Post: Lymphoma is a blanket term used to describe a group of cancers that stem from the lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell that helps the immune system fight off infections. These special white blood cells are most highly concentrated in the lymph nodes, the spleen, and bone marrow and are often where most lymphoma cancers are found. Keeping up with regular veterinary exams can help establish a good healthy baseline for your pet and help point us in the right direction if something changes.
