Description:

Our work is rooted in empathy, respect, and the belief that end-of-life care can be both peaceful and meaningful. We value flexibility, balance, and connection, and we’re committed to building an inclusive team supported by comprehensive training and administrative support.

Join a team of compassionate veterinarians dedicated to improving the end-of-life
experience for pets and the people who love them. We believe that pets are most comfortable at home, surrounded by familiar sights, smells, and the people who care for them most.

As a veterinarian with MN Pets, you’ll be able to slow down and focus deeply on the families you serve. You’ll have one appointment every two hours and no more than four appointments per day -leaving behind the fast pace of general practice.

You’ll be fully trained in our evidence-based protocols, and supported every step of the way by our skilled support teams, who manage all client communication, scheduling, marketing and are available to assist with aftercare and transportation.
We provide everything you need - supplies, ongoing support, and a collaborative team culture -so you can focus on delivering exceptional care. With no overnight shifts or on-call duties, our veterinarians enjoy a balanced schedule and the freedom to work independently.

This role is a great fit for veterinarians who are compassionate, self-motivated, and ready to make a meaningful impact.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • In-home euthanasia visits
  • Working closely with our Support Staff teams
  • Facilitating cremation services

Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed veterinarian in Minnesota
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted, and up to 100 + pounds with assistance
  • Passionate about the value of in-home end-of-life care for pets and their owners
  • Compassionate, sincere, and sensitive
  • Flexible and punctual

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Position is full-time (3-5 days/week) or part-time (2 days/week). Associate veterinarians are asked to work one weekend shift in each two-week period. Opportunities are available to add additional shifts and visits throughout the week.
  • Fully salaried position – stable, predictable income regardless of fill rate or seasonality
  • Full mileage reimbursement for all miles driven during shift ($.70/mile) and ability to start and end your workday at home
  • Comprehensive benefit eligibility for both part time and full-time employees include
AVMA and VIN membership, CE stipend, Paid Time Off, 401k retirement plan and
company match, state license, DEA license, PLIT/malpractice insurance and more
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage available for full-time employees
  • MN Pets has a commitment to providing ongoing training and supervision, professional development, and opportunities for advancement
