Description:

Zumbrota Veterinary Clinic is an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited, 3-doctor, privately owned, small animal practice. Our newer, state-of-the-art facility has a full IDEXX lab suite, digital radiology, ultrasound, and first-class surgical suite. We are growing and need to hire an outgoing, energetic, hard-working team player passionate about veterinary care who delivers excellent client service.

Our Veterinary Technicians utilize their skills set to assist our doctors in providing the highest standard of medical and surgical care for our patients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with surgical and dental procedures (including anesthesia)
  • Performing routine dental prophylaxis
  • Taking radiographs, running lab work, and preparing patients for surgery
  • Assisting doctors with physical exams
  • Dispensing and administering medications
  • Providing nursing and comfort care to patients
  • Obtaining patient history, client communication and education
  • Additional tasks that help create a high-quality clinic for our clients and patients

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma from an accredited Veterinary Technician program required; CVT/LVT a plus
  • Must be proficient with computers and willing to learn specific veterinary software programs
  • Be able to lift 40lbs and be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to work both independently and as a team
  • Exercise good judgement
  • Attention to detail
