MDH: Request for Comments

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is considering updates to the Ionizing Radiation (X-Ray) rules, Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4732 through the rulemaking process. The proposed amendments will update the X-Ray Rules to address advances in equipment technology, scope of practice for operators of X-ray equipment, service provider responsibilities, inspection requirements, legislative changes, and other related topics.

MDH published the “Request the for Comments” in the Monday, July 27, 2026, in the State Register and will be accepting comments on possible changes to the rules in writing until further notice is published in the State Register that the Department intends to adopt or withdraw the rules.
