About MN Pets

Founded in 2010, MN Pets is an in-home euthanasia practice serving the Twin Cities. MN Pets was born from a mission to serve our community of pet families, and our mission has grown to include a dedication to providing a compassionate, appreciative, and supportive team. We are humans first and veterinary professionals second, and we believe in creating careers that feed our souls.

What our Mobile Cremation Assistants do:

  • Provide compassionate client support, create clay paw prints, and create memorial stones for clients whose pets have already passed.
  • Travel to euthanasia visits to assist doctors with lifting and transporting large pets, multiple pets or those who may be in apartments.
  • Communicate between support team, doctor team, and the pet family to confirm accurate client and pet information.
  • Transport each pet respectfully from the family’s home to cool storage and/or the crematory after passing.
  • Deliver pet urns to client homes and veterinary clinics.
  • Communicate urn delivery to the client via phone call and/or email as needed.

What we look for in you:

  • Attention to detail, can-do attitude, and motivation to learn and grow.
  • Understanding of the human-animal bond and demonstrated empathy, patience and compassion while speaking with grieving families.
  • Comfortable learning new software and technology.
  • A valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Ability to maneuver pets up to 30lbs unassisted and pets over 50lbs with assistance.
  • Basic understanding of end-of-life veterinary care or strong motivation to learn.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • This position will utilize a company vehicle.
  • Full-time schedule that can be rotating, predictable and flexible.
  • Current needs right now are morning or early afternoon weekday shifts and some weekends. Weekends are paid at a higher hourly rate (additional $4/hour).

We provide on-going training and support around client communication, grief and loss, end-of-life veterinary topics, technology, and professional development.
Competitive wage reviewed annually.

Benefits include 3 weeks paid vacation per year, 401(K) with a company match, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and employee discounts.
