Basic qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited veterinary program or experience as a veterinary assistant
- Team focused
- Upbeat and adaptable with a positive attitude
- Excellent client communication skills
- Integrity with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Self-motivated and detail oriented
- Able to lift up-to 50 pounds
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Restraint
- Venipuncture/catheter placement
- Anesthetic induction and monitoring during surgical and dental procedures
- Radiographs
- Answering phones and assisting clients
- Patient intake and discharge
- Client education
- Laboratory sample preparation
